This is great quality, made in the USA by Parker for Robinair. Robinair is a manufacturer of a full line of HVAC service equipment and stands by its products. They are made of solid metal, either chrome steel or chrome-plated brass, and the workmanship is good. They have handles on top for manually turning the Schrader valve on and off, allowing you to attach or detach the Schrader fitting with the valve closed without accidentally losing refrigerant or accidentally causing frostbite on the skin from freon exposure. They cost about twice as much as the cheap ones, but they're worth it. Mine arrived with an issue, the gasket in the high side connector was missing as it is a reputable brand. I contacted Robinair and within minutes was given the part number and name of the local tool supplier who had solved the gasket kit problem (try these cheap ones made know where, put them in and see what happens) . After installing the gasket I hooked it up and got a good seal with no leaks on the Schrader fittings. They are easy to install and remove, they are equipped with a 6 swivel, the hand grips work great. For the average user, they should last a lifetime. Please note that this requires separate adapters to connect to the standard distributor hoses, adapters have a 14mm male thread on the coupling side and a 1/4" SAE male thread on the hose side. I highly recommend them if you are interested in superior quality and only buy one set for life.
