Review on SCHWALBE Marathon Clincher Evolution Reflective by John Lewis

I bought the Mondial folding beads as they are a replacement/upgrade of the Marathon XR. A side-by-side profile comparison shows that the Mondial has almost the same profile as the Marathon XR – the main difference being that the middle profile changes size, which I think makes the Mondial a bit more aggressive. Note that the Revain add-on says the 740g and 865g tires are 26 x 2.0, but the Schwalbe website lists the 865g tire as 26 x 2.1 listed. The Revain advert also references the foldable bead, which I recommend as the foldable bead is made from a superior "dual protection" material and the wire bead is made from a lower quality "race protection" material, which is a cheaper tire and has slightly less Traction and protection as a folding board with double protection. The Marathon XR folding tires have typically lasted 6,000 miles on a fully loaded bike ride and I've never had a flat tire over 18,000 miles (3 sets of tires) and I hope Mondial does the same.
