SCHWALBE Marathon Clincher Evolution Reflective Review

I didn't want to spend that much on a bicycle tire. But after plates and a short tread life, I got them. Now it's a tire! It rolls easily. But he has good traction. holds air. Takes a long time. Very satisfied both on and off road. A choice of tires is all I need now.

I did a lot of research before buying a pair of these tires and I have to say they still live up to the hype. The tires roll fast on asphalt and have ample grip on gravel or light trails. Time will tell if they last as long as other reviewers claim, but I'm really enjoying them so far and think they're worth the money.

This is a good touring tyre, popular with travelers from all over the world. With us, these tires last about 10,000 kilometers before they are replaced. If you don't take punctures well, you should replace these tires sooner or switch to a different version. Our flats turned up about once a week after 5000km of running.

I have been using the set of these tires that came with my Co-Motion Pangea for 4 years now. Same tires and driven in Florida, Iceland and 3 years in Mexico and Central America, only 2 flats in all that time. I bought the Mondial folding beads as they are a replacement/upgrade of the Marathon XR. A side-by-side profile comparison shows that the Mondial has almost the same profile as the Marathon XR – the main difference being that the middle profile changes size, which I think makes the Mondial a bit more aggressive.
