Apparently when I adopted a kitten from a shelter they gave me a monkey known as Kitten was dressed costume. I've had cats all my life but never one that insisted on opening all the kitchen cupboards/drawers and pushing everything on the floor for her to sit. Worse, when she tried to enter, she yanked on the doors and slammed them shut. Many times. All night. I had tried other types of cabinet locks before but they didn't work on drawers. In addition, they left enough space for the kitten to poke its paw and make noises. They keep doors and drawers completely closed. And I love the handy magnetic device used to open them. I conveniently placed it over the kitchen sink [with dock, if you will] so it's handy when I need it. Now I had to watch YouTube videos to figure out how to install them. There is a learning curve with this too. But the great thing is that you can lightly glue the locks until you are sure they line up, take them off when needed and then press firmly when you have them where you want them. But now that they're in place, even that rascal can't open the doors. The ONLY downside is that the mechanism works by gravity and doesn't work upside down [I can tell] so I can't use them on my wall units because the spot where the lock should be is too high for me to get it to. I don't think this will be a problem for people protecting children from going places they shouldn't be. However, kittens dressed up as monkeys pose another problem. But I'm not sure if anyone has come up with a solution to this. PS I love that I received a nice handwritten note from the seller thanking me for my purchase and providing contact information in case I encounter any problems. Nice gesture.
