I bought this product because it seemed like a good idea for my iMac (27" Late 2012) 3.2GHz Intel Core i5. I am me not sure why I thought this was a good idea but it made sense to me at the time.Item arrived on time and in good condition. The installation process is simple.I followed these instructions to get the product https://support.apple .com/en-us/HT201191 and everything was going fine until I plugged the power cord into the iMac.Started beeping every 10 seconds. After a long time I realized this is not normal(duh).I tried something else (I forgot what it was) and got a long beep. I checked online and the beep was taken as a sign of bad memory. I removed the product from my iMac and was glad that the iMac w ith the original memory cells worked fine without this product. I pondered the difficulty of returning this product as other reviewers had issues with the supplier's customer service. Being a gullible fool, I decided to give this product another try (two little things that look like circuit boards). I rearranged 2 things in different slots and it worked! Out with the fat, it worked! It's working right now. To install this product you must place your iMac on a non-abrasive surface. I used my bed as this surface and it was fine as I didn't need to take a nap at the time. I would suggest leaving the imac on this surface while you test your setup. You don't need to put your imac back in until you're sure everything is fine. Don't say yes silly, it's common sense, but I'm trying to help here. If your installation worked, your imac will work again without any beeps. I would let the imac do the installation process it needs to do there on top of the memory foam mattress and duvet. Then turn off the power, unplug the power cord and set the machine back up. I checked Utilities > Activity Monitor > System Memory and indeed I have all this new RAM which I think might be a good thing for some reason. "About this Mac" is an easier way to check. Will it keep working normally? I do not know. I read other reviews. There are always people whose product stopped working or didn't work at all after 31 days and who had the product longer than the 30-day return period. I think it's the same guy on every product. He's not as scared of the dreaded 30-day return period as I am. All I know is that it is easy to install, arrived on time, and I didn't need an allen wrench to install the product. I think I still have a hex drill that I need to return to Allen.
