Best leash/collar combo for training dogs that pull

I have purchased both the 4ft and 6ft versions of this leash/collar. Both work as described below: This is the best product! I have a large 9 month old Shepard/Lab puppy who pulls and drags me on all of our walks. I have attempted to correct this misconduct with a choke collar, but to no avail, in the six months I have had it. Yesterday I received a new glide line and immediately tested it on "Zeus". He politely walked beside me a few minutes after getting dressed. At first he didn't like the aft part of the line wrapped around his muzzle. He patted it twice until he successfully ripped that part off. However, the leash was still around his neck. I had to adjust the sliding leather board a bit to make it more secure so he couldn't get the eight off again. Today, Zeus was much more tolerant of the leash wrapped around his snout, touching it only once with his paw. He walked well next to me again without jerking me off. Using the figure of eight wrapped around the snout works with this leash because it draws the dog's attention to you or the person leading it. Because as soon as the dog runs out of the slack, his face feels a tug turning him towards you. A typical leash attaches to a collar that is worn on the dog's strongest part of the body - the neck and shoulders. Because the figure eight design is worn around the muzzle, they are quickly corrected by their own actions when lunging or pulling forward. It's really brilliant. I suggest you watch YouTube demos on how to properly attach and use this leash. Just type "Figure 8 Tutorial" in the search box. Have fun hiking with your dog!
