This is a review by someone who knows how to use tools, not a professional installer. I used about 3 dozen of these to install six bathroom railings through the tile and drywall. If you've never used them before, it's helpful to watch a YouTube video to understand the basics. In about 2/3 of them, the bolt could be screwed in without any problems the first time. For most others, a little manipulation of the screw to get it closer to the threads in the derailleur worked well. I've made the rookie mistake once or twice near the counter by not being careful to align the mug so it doesn't clamp against the stud and the mug sits flush with the wall. I was able to flip the switch to avoid the spike and all went well. I had problems with two of them for reasons unknown, and I had to abandon ship, slide the entire assembly into the wall, and start over with a new toggle switch. However, the freedom they give you of not having to worry about where the hairpin is is well worth the cost. All in all I would definitely use them again and based on other reviews I will be using them to attach to my TV. A 0.5" potter's or tile bit going through the tile wall and back panel worked great to make room for the switch to slide through.
