Description of Zinc Plated Channel Fastener Fasteners - SNAPTOGGLE Toggler

Toggle anchor installs behind 3/8"- to 3-5/8"-thick hollow materials including gypsum board, drywall, and concrete block to provide a secure hold from within the mounting material. Anchor affixes to the wall before adding the bolt and fixture, allowing one-person installation and fixture changes. Made in USA, and works with 1/4"-20 UNC-threaded metal bolts (sold separately). Ultimate tensile strength is 265 lb. in 1/2" drywall and 1,080 lb. in concrete block with a 1/4"-20 UNC bolt. Use one-fourth or less of listed maximum values for safe working loads (as required by local regulations).

They work great...when they work. Screws not included!

When they work, they're amazing. Unfortunately I ended up with 30% breakage making them overpriced. Backs slope wildly inwards. The ones that lasted and I was able to insert the screws are amazing. Also read the description. Do these. It comes with 1/4 screws. The first box I bought from Lowe's did this, so I had to spend more and make an unwanted trip.

the best I've used

They are not 100% reliable. I've used hundreds of them to hang headboards and curtain valances in a hotel and sometimes the cup wasn't positioned correctly to engage the screw. Even when I tried to tighten the screw before pushing it through the part, there were still moments when it wouldn't turn. Therefore, the holes must match well. I would say about 95% of them worked well. I tried their fakes and they worked much worse. Very good product, just don't expect to need 10 and buy 10. Always buy

Didn't take it. on Toggle Anchors

I have purchased and used this item in small packs and loved it, never had a problem. It quickly became my mainstay, so I went for the big box. The first one I installed from this box had a collar that broke and fell into the wall. I was surprised . I currently have about 25% of these breaking in the wall, the zip ties seem very brittle. Before this purchase I installed about 40 and never had a problem. I regret buying such a large box. I'll try to opt for a smaller box in the future or keep…

They work best in brackets

First, they do what they are designed to do and do it well. If you're having trouble starting or breaking a channel in the wall, it's because the bolt was cross-threaded and/or you were trying to screw it in too quickly. Turn the screw in the opposite direction and when you hear or feel a click, the threads engage, hand tighten a few turns. Then use a drill or impact wrench to tighten them. However, sometimes the backside is not coplanar, and then this can be a problem. Just don't tighten the…

Great product, save yourself the hassle of looking for bolts

This is a review by someone who knows how to use tools, not a professional installer. I used about 3 dozen of these to install six bathroom railings through the tile and drywall. If you've never used them before, it's helpful to watch a YouTube video to understand the basics. In about 2/3 of them, the bolt could be screwed in without any problems the first time. For most others, a little manipulation of the screw to get it closer to the threads in the derailleur worked well. I've made the…

  • New competition has arrived

I have been using these anchors for years when installing a kitchen and vanity (among many other needs for a secure installation Shopping in large stores for 10-20-50 at a time Last month I changed my choice to shop online at Revain with one of their affiliates, my previous purchases in these smaller quantities at the store have always included bolts or screws that mark the item as Made it all up. Order went well and received as expected. Item loaded for a large setup of 7 dressing tables that…

Works well but it is necessary to install carefully

I bought a box of 100 and I'm glad I did. You can see a variation in the quality of the thread in the tapped hole. Be sure to screw the bolt into the hole from the back BEFORE inserting it into the hole, then remove the bolt and then insert this cup into the hole as instructed if the threaded hole can be used. This allows you to ensure that the threads in the hole are even. When I first tried to use them, I just stuck them in the hole, tried to screw the bolt in, and the bolt twisted, or stuck,
