This product is of excellent quality! Haven't noticed it wear out yet and it washes well in the washer/dryer. I turned it inside out to wash because of the material on the outside (although my hedgehog had an accident it obviously cleans better inside out). I don't know why people are complaining about the outer material, it's tough as advertised. I will say that the inside is definitely NOT as soft as advertised/as shown in the picture. It's great for me that it's not as fluffy as I live in Arizona and it's already pretty hot here but if you live somewhere cold and need one that will keep your pet a lot warmer I would recommend either add fleece strips/quilt or buy another bag.
