Incredible product, huge statement, amazing accent wall

This was a week-long project that required multiple steps. Over 160 panels are involved in my project. The panels themselves are made from very durable PVC and the end product is an incredibly unique accent wall that complements my entire living room. Installation. When you install (potentially) hundreds of them, you want to make sure they are fully customized/customized to your environment. I alternated them one at a time to ensure maximum airflow. (See image.) My house is brand new, so I decided to clad the walls with thin sheets of wood instead of gluing them directly to the drywall. I bought the sheets from Lowe and had them ripped into 8" x 2" slabs. I was able to install them myself as they were very easy. (See pics.) - I used industrial grade liquid nails/gorilla glue to glue the panels together. I have no doubt the drywall would have been completely ruined if I had ever attempted to remove these panels later. It is important to glue all surfaces on the back and not just the outside edge. Use a thin line - don't let it bleed over the edge or you'll end up with a mess on your hands. I used a laser level to level the panels. Finding a reliable method of laying the tiles straight is incredibly important, as any small deviation will lead to a large displacement later. I started in the top right corner and worked my way down column by column. At first I tried using extra thin tile spacers (as you can see in a photo) but found that keeping the panels in place/straight was more difficult than just gluing them together with a laser level. .- Take your time imprinting how it seems and do it right. No matter how hard you try, there will be gaps, and they will look a lot better if you fill the gaps properly with sealant. Look at the photos of the all white wall before sealing to see how bad the grout looks before sealing. FOR YOUR ZOOM, PAINT THE PANELS BEFORE INSTALLATION. I can't recommend it highly enough. I made the mistake of hanging the panels first and THEN painting. All 160+ panels have been hand painted with latex paint and you guessed it, these panels cannot be roller painted. Also, if you're painting, you'll need multiple coats, as standard latex paint doesn't fully adhere the first time you apply it. My tiles only needed three applications. I have never experienced such cramps in my hand after painting every corner of these panels. If I could do it all over again I would spray the tiles before laying them and finish the grouting. That would save tens of hours since painting was taking up most of the time overall. Don't rush to cut the panels. I used a compound miter saw and it worked great. I've read in other reviews that the panels can be cut by hand with a razor blade or scissors, but I think that would be extremely difficult if you had to cut the bundle like I did along the last column/bottom row have. The plan is to use "raised" outlet covers so they blend into the panels. But I have found that painting the wall behind the panels looks great and there is no need to use a riser. (Actually, the risers I bought were flimsy and difficult to install - I think they would have made the end product worse, not better.) Overall, this project took a lot of time - probably 80 hours of work. But painting accounted for more than half of that. If you create a very simple template that doesn't require cutouts, backing, painting, etc., hanging panels can be made much faster. In general, the product is highly recommended!
