I switched to a pixie cut this summer. With my hair being so short and fine, I've found that traditional 1/2" flat irons and 1" and smaller curling irons just don't clamp securely and hold my hair for curling. Specially designed for fine hair, this curling iron really helps me speed up my hair styling. This eliminated the frustration I had when trying to use normal/typical curlers.
