Bought for lg. Welsh pony mare. She felt uncomfortable galloping. Unhappy. The fit of the saddle is perfect. This strap prevents the saddle from sliding forward. The movement of her shoulders was free. She rode the 1st day in the girth. Ears forward and freedom of movement. Eventually I will change all my straps. Love it.
