I took the Ryobi One as my standard cordless hand tool for my mainland, Hawaiian and RV home, so I bought this product when I needed a small rock drill. I have over 30 Ryobi One tools and this is the first time I've worn out a tool in a short amount of time. This device is less than 2 months old; it overheated and started smoking from the engine vents while drilling 1/2" holes in the cinder block (not a very heavy load). I called Ryobi warranty service but THEY DO NOT WARRANT PRODUCTS FROM UNAUTHORIZED SELLERS! from Hawaii to a service center that costs more than a new P214.NOTE: They told me if you buy from Home Depot they cover the warranty. Works. This seller has no warranty. Replaced with a genuine, more expensive puncher.
