Review on (Renewed) Apple iPhone XS, US Version, 64GB, Space Gray - Unlocked: Best Deals and Quality Assurance by Ha Joon ᠌

There are disadvantages, but the product is usable.

The XS is quite comfortable to hold, but more than anything else, I appreciate how little it is in comparison to other items on the market today and how quality it feels. The most significant disadvantage, however, came as a total surprise; while using the XS model, there is no "Enlarge display" function available in the device's settings. Despite the fact that it works on both my older 7+ and even my iPad Pro 12.9" Because of this, using an XS is extremely uncomfortable due to its screen size, which is comparable to that of a 7+. As a result, the text in the application interfaces appears to be too small, making it very uncomfortable to read and requiring you to strain your eyes. There is an option in the settings to increase the "Text Size," and Apple's native applications have a nice appearance, but other than those two, I have not come across a single program that supports dynamic fonts. It would appear that the display magnification mode is more ubiquitous and improves the performance of any program. This seems to be a very important issue to me. If it is not addressed in the next iOS update, I will consider selling my XS. In most cases, I run iOS and Android simultaneously on two separate devices. There was a moment when the 7+ and the Samsung S7 Edge and the 7+ were tied for first place in my book. I switched to the XS as my primary phone and chose the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro as my secondary phone because it was cheaper, although I expected the XS to be superior in all respects. Nevertheless, in addition to there not being a critical image size setting for me, with which everything is in order on Android, the performance of several applications is substantially slower on the XS. It should come as no surprise that the XS creates a favorable impression all around; the iOS user interface is exceptionally polished, and it is critical that the camera start up in a very short amount of time. The iPhone XS, on the other hand, can feel a little sluggish when you switch between multiple devices frequently. For instance, Financial Yahoo! or Raiffeisen on Android are able to launch and display data while the XS is still in the process of loading, which is utterly unacceptable when considering the price difference between the two devices. To summarize, I would not consider making a second purchase of it. Although iOS is still superior in terms of aesthetics and ergonomics, the gap between it and other platforms is starting to close, and the experience of using it has become increasingly homogenous. Due to the unjustifiable substantial price differential compared to other Android competitors, I am unable to endorse the purchase of the XS.

Pros
  • - compact dimensions - user friendliness - build quality - display - photographic capabilities
Cons
  • a screen that is large enough but has an image that is too small for it; work that is slower than that of comparable products; poor value for the money; absence of a fast charger in the package
