Cool and useful, but bad for detailed sculpting

It's a little tricky to work with when trying to use it for creative purposes - cools too quickly to give much time to sculpt to need, but the quiet surface stays warm for a long time and it is difficult not to leave fingerprints or deformed areas just by holding it in your hands and working with it. I've had a bit of luck erasing fingerprints with a warm surface and fingers smeared with petroleum jelly, but if you're trying to get a specific shape or a ton of detail, this stuff isn't for you. I made a few costume teeth out of mine, and while they turned out fine, the attempt was frustrating and time consuming - I couldn't get the surface hot enough to grind away the fingerprints without completely ruining the mold and starting over. I also found it difficult to mix colors and more importantly to recycle more color beads to get the exact color I wanted, partly because it starts to harden so quickly in the center and needs frequent heating, and partly because it's hard because I kept getting air bubbles. -- not that it was necessarily a problem, but it annoyed me nonetheless. I bought it mainly to make small cosplay props and accessories, but I think something like epoxy molds will suit me better in the future. Having said that! This is a great product and very cool if you don't expect it to be an art medium. It's A+ for plastic repair, and if you have a blow dryer (or maybe even a hair dryer) you can keep it warm enough to work and repair, although soaking in hot water isn't practical. It's also great for making tools and things where functionality is more important than cosmetics - for example I made a thimble that fits better than the cheap oversized aluminum I had and I'm planning to make some kitchen knives to repair it's falling apart. plastic handles. All in all it's interesting and useful and I'll buy more when I run out (although next time I'll skip the colored granules), just be aware that it's not good for artistic purposes if you hope to mold with it.

Kind of fun, like a grade-school science experiment that protects your stuff
