Works as well as this style which isn't great
These types of connectors are good and this one in particular is a great version of it. However, the problem is that it puts a lot of force on a small area of your door and trim/wall and doesn't stop the door very hard. Every time the door doesn't hit the wall, it starts to creak as if damaging the paneling. I've had something like this before and it ended up damaging the surface. I have no complaints about this particular item, but overall this style isn't perfect. I only got it because my kid is obsessed with a floor level doorstop so this hinge mounted one will stop him from playing with it.
