Too quiet! - Motorbike & Powersports

I have had a Sena SMH 10 for many years and have really liked it. Features have been simplified, which is great considering when it was released. and the sound quality was great. I could listen to audio books and music, converse with my fellow racers while listening to the sound of several different Harleys (each probably too loud). They have great updated features and they all work great. My biggest complaint is that no matter what the system is too quiet. I turned the volume up all the way on the phone, all the way up on the headset, played with the equalizer, nothing works. On my current Harley, 50+ mph is loud enough for all but the loudest songs to be drowned out by the accelerator pedal. Audio books can hear enough to say what they're playing, but have to strain to understand; not good. Music below 80mph is fine for most songs but I wish it was louder so I could properly jam and enjoy it. As for connecting to other riders, Bluetooth and open mesh are possible, but you almost have to shout to be loud enough to be heard. I've wanted to get away from Harley and into KTM for a long time; Maybe with a quieter bike it's not that much of an issue. I use the same helmet I took my SMH10 off on and immediately replaced it with this one. Same speaker placement, so the difference isn't helmet or speaker placement. I also opened a ticket with Sena to find out if it was user error or a setting I couldn't find. Nothing helped. The most annoying thing is that the Google Assistant works at a reasonable volume through my phone. If I could get it to that level I'd love it, but nothing I've tried seems to work. Last weekend I updated the firmware to 1.0.6 with no noticeable changes. Still hoping Sena can fix this issue as the Google Assistant is quite noisy; With any luck, it's a software issue that they will fix.
