I was able to get this to work with my Milwaukee rental package. To do this, I had to loosen the screw that held the handle in place. I then drilled out the pilot hole with a 3/16 bit. My head was too thick for the hole after it started screwing in. The nut almost got stuck because I couldn't drive it deep enough. So learn from my mistake and enlarge the hole around the pilot hole. A few turns of a 1/2" drill bit or plenty for me. I removed the key fob ring from the quick release pins. Used a 1/4" socket to drive the nut into the 3/16 pilot hole I just made. I didn't use a 1/4 20 tap because it just went into the soft plastic. The screw turned by itself. To figure out how far you need to screw it in without over tightening, remove the handle and, as you turn the screw in, look into the slot/hole where the handle came out. You should see the quick release pins begin to dig into this cavity. I feel like my entire pin adjustment knob was a little different than the factory. I ended up making it bigger with a 3/16 drill bit and then the pin was able to catch the handle perfectly and everything works great.
