Review on Xiaomi Camera Gaming Processor Unlocked by Anastazja Pajk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

I don’t know why everyone considers this a disadvantage, but the fact that the notification LED glows only with a dim white light is not an argument at all. If necessary, you will see everything. The smartphone is a global version (that is, normal LTE frequencies, NFC, European charger plug, normal instructions and everything that follows from this). Ordered on AliExpress in April 2022 for 15,000 for a promotion at the peak of the coronavirus (which led to problems), delivered in almost 2 months (of which the phone spent a month in Singapore due to the fact that the local mail was closed for obvious reasons). As a result, the phone came only at the end of June with a slightly beaten box. Additionally, the phone was ordered to protect the camera glass in the form of a metal ring and a film. Without a complete protection kit (a case from a third-party manufacturer, a film on the screen and back panel, a ring on the camera along with a protective film), the phone is not even worth picking up!

Pros
  • The design of the rear panel is strict in moderation, the placement of the camera unit, a fast fingerprint scanner, which is conveniently located and the finger simply rests on it without unnecessary gestures. A good screen, with excellent color reproduction, which, however, the screen brightness is rather strangely set: at minimum brightness in the dark, nothing is visible, and at maximum brightness, the sun overshadows everything. Also of the advantages it is worth highlighting the cameras that shoot just with a bang. It is especially good to shoot on the main camera in 64 MP mode (this is just a software setting for the main 16 MP camera, but nevertheless it is extremely functional and of high quality). The front camera is also pretty good, but I don't use it except for face unlock. As for wireless systems: WiFi only works with a router no older than 3 years, but if it works, it works very well. Bluetooth supports the simultaneous use of 2 devices, but I managed to connect 3 devices, I don’t know how. Cellular communication is also at a good level, however, in places with poor coverage, it drops the connection. NFC is also quick to catch on. Geolocation determines the location in a few seconds on the street, but indoors it may not cope at all. The FM radio, which is a critical option for me, works quite well. The work is very smooth (the processor practically does not strain), there were some glitches after the ate to MIUI 12, but soon stopped. Heavy games pull with a bang, almost without straining, but at the same time getting very hot. Quietly ated to MIUI 12.5 and Android 11. Also pleased with the presence of a 3.5 mm plug and fast charging mode. Autonomy is average - about a day. : the screen, even without a protective glass, is very strong - it withstood a fall on a gravel road, escaping with only three deep scratches on the glass without cracks (falling flat).
Cons
  • The smartphone is easily scratched, which is why the use of a case, protective glass (or better, films) on the screen and back panel (if found) is critical. It's even better to protect the camera glass with a protective film with a metal ring, even when using a non-standard case. It seems to me that the standard complete case is too dark and covers all the beauty of the back panel, and also deteriorates too easily in terms of appearance, even with careful use. Also, one of the shortcomings is the announcement of Xiaomi from November 27 of the status of EoL (End of Life) - the termination of support for the smartphone. That is, the smartphone will officially become obsolete, but with its characteristics, not getting MIUI 13 and Android 12 is not a disaster, especially since there are custom firmware. It is unrealistic to find a protective film on the screen, and if you find it, it is not a fact that it will be of good quality. Normal protective glass is also extremely rare. One glass does not completely cover the surface of the front panel, the other, on the contrary, covers the screen by 0.5-1 mm on each side. Also, one of the minor drawbacks is the strong heating of the smartphone, despite the liquid cooling of the processor.
