I've used these risers everywhere I've lived. I don't know why American standard houses are built with such a low shower head, but this extension solves my problem every time. I've already looked at half a dozen of these in various places I've rented or owned. I'll leave them to the next person. If you cannot afford to redo the installation and raise your shower head, this is the best option.
