K&N filters have been around for decades and we love them. This is the first purchase we make after buying a new car. This was my 2018 GMC Sierra SLT 5.3L Z71 4x4 Crew Cab purchase. I believe the off-road package upgrades the filter to a larger one, so it could be related to that package. It fitted perfectly once I could access the OEM filter. What were the engineers thinking when they put a metal tube on the head of the bottom right screw? I also had to unbolt and move the steering wheel, but on our Corvettes and Mustangs I had to be a lot worse, so it's no big deal. The difference in handling is immediately noticeable. Now you can actually hear the air whistle into the airbox. We still have to drive a bit to see if the fuel consumption changes. hopefully there is an improvement because these things suck gas lol. Great product, I will buy again and again.
