My 2012 Mazda 3i with Skyactiv gave code p0172 for good condition. Wouldn't stop at all. It goes off when the RPM drops when shut off. I had several cylinder misfires and cylinder number three fouled the spark plug. I replaced the spark plugs, oxygen sensors, overhead catalytic converter, coils and injectors. Nothing has changed, nothing has helped. In the end I couldn't take it anymore and decided to go with a DMRV. The parts dealer asked for $330! I did some research and came across this one for less than $30. After reading a few reviews that specifically spoke about its effectiveness on my machine, I bought it. Now my car is finally fixed and I will never go back to the dealer who offered to replace everything else for $1800. If your vehicle has a p0172 code, try this first. You can save a lot of money!
