Review on 🚴 Fizik MTB Cycling Shoes for Men by Phillip Reed

I bought these shoes on May 26th. I once drove them around for about half an hour to make sure they fit - and they worked fine. They did. Then I drove 3 hours to Salida, Colorado to go mountain biking a few weeks later. I got ready, put on my shoes and tightened the UDAPs on both shoes. Then I went down a small hill and noticed that the left boot was loose. I reached out to tighten it and the boa's handle disappeared and the white plastic piece was visible (and presumably broken). I haven't kicked anything, pulled a BOA, or kicked a wall in karate. Unfortunately the day before I took my spare set of 7 year old Shimano M161 shoes out of the car. (7 years, with thousands of miles - and NEVER a problem) So - I couldn't drive. Two miles in these shoes and they broke before I even got on the bike. Obviously it was a quality control issue and my weekend was ruined. Although I've been annoyed, things happen even with the best products. It may have been missed during quality control. What is unforgivable is that I registered a quality control ticket on the Fizik website on Saturday. Thursday - still no answer. I own 2 Fizik saddles and another pair of BOA free Fizik road boots - and will certainly never buy another Fizik product again. Back to Shimano for my cycling shoes. Update 07/17: Well, after about a week and a half I received the BOA replacement system for this shoe. After about an hour of trying to fit it, I realize that this just isn't the right shoe part. I informed Physic and he said he would send the kit needed. Today - July 17th (almost a month after initial contact) I am receiving another BOA replacement. These are *obviously* fake parts, even if you don't take them out of the bag. To be honest I'm shocked at this level of incompetence. Don't know your own products? I will reject this company. 1 whole month of summer mountain biking is lost waiting for my new shoes to be fixed. I will find parts online, get these shoes fixed and put them on ebay (along with all my other Fizik stuff). If this company had given their customers 2 cents they would have immediately sent new shoes instead of sending me the wrong ones. Parts expect me to fix it myself.
