Review on ๐ง MR CARTOOL 8428: Essential Camshaft Rotating & Cam Holding Alignment Tool for Chrysler/Jeep 3.7L & 4.7L Engines (2008-2012) by Brian Gopalan
Broke on first use at about 25 ft-lbs.
The product broke immediately and sheared off the pin in the camshaft. Also, the product is 7.85mm thick and does not fit the 7.15mm groove properly to install on the camshaft. First, lapping was required. I can confirm that the grip and head are tool steel, but the pen appears to be of much lower quality. I may have only gotten a bad one once, but I'm still disappointed that I spent money on this paperweight. Now my client's 2009 Jeep Liberty is delayed again.
