The speaker is heavy and consumes power. There is some pause in the period so I wouldn't max it out right away. But after a week or so, you can give them as much juice as you can. The tweeters are bright but this can be remedied by using the included crossovers and lowering the decibels or by buying a quality 800+ receiver with a great built in EQ. Note: one of the tweeters was burned out when I received them so make sure you test them out straight away, but Revain took care of them with no problem! All in all, if you're looking for high performance at a low price, you've found the right set of 6.5-inch drives.
