Review on 🐾 4CLAWS Wall-Mounted Scratching Post 26-inch (White) - BASICS Collection Cat Scratcher, 26 x 5.7 x 5.5 inches by Jessica Williams

This is the first scratching post my cat has ever used! She ignored hanging, flat and post cat trees, preferring to use stronger chairs, sofas and mattresses. The wall mount concept is great. I finally have hope for my furniture! I installed this scratching post in the middle, not far from her favorite chair. I then sprayed the furniture with an odor-control agent (Claw Withdraw Cat Scratch Spray Deterrent - 4 oz) and sprayed KONG Naturals Catnip Spray for Cats, 1-Fluid ounce onto the scratch. I told her to check it out and she quickly recognized the texture and vertical surface as something she would love to scratch. Every time she does this, I give her praise so she understands the problem isn't that she's itchy, it's *that* she's scratching. She's pretty smart and I think she's learning. The cat would return to her favorite chairs multiple times over the course of a few days, but each time I would take a minute to gently escort her to the scratching post, spray her catnip scent again, and then come back to refresh the furniture with a repellent. As a result, she's largely ignored her favorite chairs in favor of this post so far. Hooray!
