my truck's antenna was broken and it would have been too difficult to remove the old antenna assembly from the fender of the tacoma truck. Got this antenna, it's easy to run the cable through the molding - a little tricky to get access to the radio antenna insert but I got it and it works fine, I didn't use its double stick tape, just stuck it in the Headliner molding and stayed in place. In general, for basic listening, the radio works well with no complaints.
