Excellent goal! A limitation. You may need to increase the fit with something other than what comes with the gate. There are certain width holes that just don't work. Our opening was 38.25 inches. So the smaller extra sections were too small for the hole and adding a 4 bar superstructure made it too big for the hole. Last time my husband just used a small 1 inch piece of wood and it fits perfectly. He plastered it to give it a nice look, screwed it to the wall, and then painted it the same color as the wall. Goal work is perfect. You can slide it all the way and it will stay open. or just pass, let go and it always reclines and locks. I downgraded this from 5 stars to 4 stars because I read similar complaints in other reviews. If North States Industries added an additional 3-bar detail. that would fit perfectly.
