Review on Enhanced Creality 235x235x4mm Tempered Printer: An Upgraded Printing Essential by Mike Bogan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm having adhesion issues, I have to use the hairspray method.

The glass works great, heats up well and the underside of the prints looks much better on it than on the magnetic sheet that Ender 3 Pro comes with. I give it a 4 because I have a lot of trouble with fine print. Adhesion. They were thrown aside when printing the first or second layer. I also set BL-Touch to auto-orient and I got the Z-offset right, so it's not a problem. I've found Aqua-Net Light Hair Spray ($2 a can at the store) to work well. A light spray from about 12-16 inches away (I use a piece of paper to protect the rest of the printer from overspray) helps hold the prints in place and allows them to spread out relatively easily once they cool to solve. I can also apply more hairspray and print back to back. Once you need to clean, soap and water, light washing and rinsing, it's good. I'm torn on whether to recommend it or not. It works well for me because my metal bed seems to be slightly warped and the glass solves that problem. It's good quality and if your bed is warped I recommend it. As for me, I will continue to use it because I like the prints on it better. If your bed doesn't warp on your printer, it might be worth sticking to magnetic layers instead.

Pros
  • Superb Flatness: The upgraded Ender 3 build plate with smaller CREALITY logo provides a flatter and smoother build surface than magnetic mat or Pei sticker and ensures high mold base flatness during 3D printing.
Cons
  • Fading
