Review on ☕ Ilsa Stainless Steel 6 Cup Stovetop Espresso Maker: Experience Rich and Authentic Espresso at Home! by Derrek Fields

Will not rust 100% stainless steel as advertised

I bought this Ilsa Moka 6 cup kettle because with the exception of the brass valve it is advertised as 100% stainless steel (which will not rust) and is made in Italy. After reading reviews of dozens of stainless steel versions of the Moka over the course of a few days, I bought this one - for that reason. I ordered 6 cups (much less than I thought although I knew these are espresso cups and not regular cups; take my warning and buy more than you think this version will only be 1.5-2 Makes cups full of espresso/coffee, max so use 9 cups) but it arrived rusty in 3 places: right where the welds meet. This means that the welded joint is not entirely stainless steel and there is some other alloy that will cause it to rust (maybe nickel?) which is not good. I didn't buy the more expensive Cuisinox because it's beautiful, but made in China. (Chinese steel is known to be often compromised with arsenic etc and how would we know? Didn't want to risk it.) Not sure what to do at this point. But now that I've seen the rust, I know the score and seem to be back at the drawing board. Damned. I really wanted it to be the one! Like others who have experienced this, I am very disappointed.
