Right out of the box I almost knew there was going to be trouble. The cam is flimsy and poorly made, and the bolt holding it to the handlebars is tiny with no mass. When tightening with a Phillips screwdriver, the ridges on the head of the screw began to peel and I had to stop. I think it will hold until I see if I can tighten it up later with a better driver. I bought a cam to replace the cams on my truck's tailgate. The older screw broke and had to be cut off. I have a feeling that a new one with a screw problem doesn't bode well. I would only recommend this item if you are using it for a task that requires little or no security. It's the thin metal it's made of, the poorly made screws and the ability to remove them that ultimately results in the inability to tighten those screws. one.
