It looks like the photo. Not incredibly thick or fluffy, but that's okay. You will need to purchase a pad for underneath or come up with some other way to keep it from slipping. I recently found some very beautiful rugs when shopping at Tuesday Morning at about the same price. I kind of wish I had waited, but all in all, this is fine.
