Mandatory if you are putting electronics in an enclosed closet

I bought an office desk to house the computer stand, router and all the unsightly cables that go with it in an enclosed closet (my wife can't stand, to see wires or interference). The table I bought had shielded ventilation in the knee area. I thought it would be perfect for my office electronics, but it's not. After rerouting all the wires and cables, I found that the temperature inside the cabinet quickly climbs to 90 degrees with the cabinet door closed. For a while I left the closet door ajar to let the heat out, until I figured out a way to air it out better. I searched the internet and found that there is a company that makes fans for this exact purpose. Additionally, the fan is powered from a USB port or an AC/USB adapter (included), so I only had to plug it into an available USB port on the computer tower. This fan is the perfect size. in the table ventilation area, so all I had to do was cut out a piece of the existing ventilation grille and insert the fan. Alternatively, you can simply cut out a hole for the fan. To allow for more airflow I cut some 2" holes in the bottom of the cabinet and installed the plastic vents I found on Revain: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DH8J7RI?psc=1&ref= ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details This setup has been working great for over a month now The fan provides good airflow and when the case is closed it stays at room temperature As for noise, this 3-speed fan is barely audible at low speed. You could feel it from above. a little louder than I would like. I set my speed to medium. It serves its purpose and is pretty quiet. was outside the office.
