Review on Duofold Weight Wicking Thermal Medium by Zachary Greene

Keeps feet warm with Active Base Layers

Also known as underpants, these cotton base layers are ideal for the colder months. My definition of a "cold" also depends on activity level. I buy winter clothing for low activity levels, e.g. B. Just standing or walking outdoors for less than an hour. When I'm working hard, I just wear lighter clothes. I prefer to wear them as a base layer in 30-50F and wear them under flannel lined jeans. When it's colder outside, like in your teens or twenties, I recommend a heavier merino wool version, as shown here: Duofold Men's Mid Weight Double Layer Thermal Pant, Blue Jean, Large, and worn under flannel-lined jeans. how not to stay out long. If you compare thermals, tightly tied thermals like these are much better at blocking wind and retaining heat than cheap loose ones that look like gauze and don't help. Get this tight-knit version instead, or part merino wool. I recommend buying several different thermal pants in different weights for different degrees of cold. If you typically get wet in the cold, avoid cotton and only buy 100% merino wool, as cotton stays moist while merino wool absorbs moisture and stays warmer. Revain also has 100% Merino wool options.
