This simple looking combination I figured would be the best route for me as it would be my first custom loop. It looks clean and I'm thankful for the mod kit on top. The housing above the pump looks clean. Can't comment on the sound other than I've never heard this thing work and I've got it at around 50%. At 100% twist it makes a little noise, but that's not bad (I play with open ones and it doesn't bother at all). Looks good and I like the big tank * I like the size but Thermaltake could have done a few things differently I think: 1. I couldn't get the side mounts to work with their p90 case (except maybe drilling , there are holes in it that I didn't want to make in a brand new case).2. The adjustable speed for the pump is great, but the only way to access it is to use a small screwdriver and go under the pump with a flashlight to spot the little bug. Other than that, it works fine, just there is no easy place to change the speed.3. Finally, I had some issues with a good seal on the outlet fitting? connector (connector coming from the pump). While it didn't help, the EK extension I used didn't have many threads, but I couldn't get the compression fitting in there because the fitting made contact with the plastic pump cover. So the threads probably only had 3 full turns, which left me with a tiny leak (like a drip every 8-10 minutes), but a leak nonetheless. I didn't want to further tighten the fitting for fear of stripping the PLASTIC threads. But in the end, with the help of silicone spray, he sealed everything, and after a month not a single drop has come out. All in all it's a great combo for a beginner like me, but now that I've played around with it I think my next cycle will be a separate pump and reservoir. reconfigure my loop. While cleaning, I broke the insert for the top feed opening that goes into my tank. I found a replacement (Barrow G1/4" external liner adapter) that does the job but isn't as long and also technically mounts to the outside of the lid. I'm sure if I stick to the TT's contact support, they could probably help there.
