Bought as primary zoom mic as all other mics had issues. The mic volume control and mute button are handy. The sound quality is definitely good enough for one "speaking voice" which makes it a great choice for zoom I would NOT make this my first choice for use on musical instruments or singing however could come in handy as an inexpensive backup mic the included mini tripod is fine , but the 5/8" thread allows me to screw it directly onto a cheap mic stand: no separate mic clip is required, so the mic doesn't slip out and fall off.
