This duvet set is so pretty, and it reminded me of an old one my grandparents had when I was a kid. I don’t use the pillow cases as I have either queen or standard sized pillows, but they’re the same as the duvet with the floral on the front, a grey-blue on the back, and edged with a sort of gold-orange shiny fabric. It also has a white zipper for the comforter to go in, and ties to attach it to the comforter.It’s very soft which makes it comfortable to sleep with, but it’s not breathable so it gets super hot while using it. It’s great for winter, just not when it starts to get hot.After having it for a few months and washing it a bunch, it’s starting to fray on those gold-orange edges, and looks like when nylons get runs in them. I posted a picture that shows both of what I’m talking about. It’s also faded a lot since then and isn’t very vibrant, but it still looks nice.I’d recommend it if you tend to take better care of your duvet covers instead of chucking them into the washer and dryer like we do (we use the "bedding” setting, but still). I also recommend if it’s cooler where you live.However, regardless of how pretty I think it is, it’s just too hot for me. The issues with the fading and fabric are most likely user error, so that’s not nearly as much of a concern as the amount of heat it holds while being covered by it. I could have one leg out be cold with goose bumps, and the other leg inside the covers sweating. Our pets that like going under covers don’t do it with this one. It’s just too much, especially now that it’s getting hotter in summer.
