Great light - once you figure out how to change the batteries

We all have a pair and they're bright and noticeable enough. The only thing that bothered us was that over time they started to fade and we didn't figure out how to change the batteries. Tried removing the top and turning it clockwise and counter clockwise as well. We finally got in touch with Nite Ize, who sent us this image of a similar ClipLit and told us that if we turn it counterclockwise far enough, it can feel like we're going to break the device. So I took a pair of pliers, and sure enough, just as I thought I was going to break them, the top part started rotating with a "click" sound. Replaced the battery and started on others. Now we're walking lightly again. (By the way, CR927 is not easy to find, but if possible buy a reputable brand, some of the cheapest batteries are actually cheap and don't work very well.)

Pros
  • Passive-reflective pattern features for safety when lights are off
Cons
  • Low repairability
