To be honest this product is great. The holes are big enough to see through but small enough to keep prying fingers away. I bought this net for my third floor balcony so I can get my cat on deck without worrying about her slipping through the net. From the ground I barely saw there was a grate, it was almost invisible! Unfortunately my cat wanted to jump over the net so I have to return him and just buy him a playpen. But I would recommend this net to anyone who has a child or small dog that can't just jump over it. The only reason I docked the star is because the mesh comes with a couple of zip ties and then a handful of those. strings. There are no instructions so it is not clear why they are given but they appear to be there to attach the net to the poles. That's stupid. The threads are smooth and easy to untie, and a clever child or determined pet can quickly remove them. They should just give you more zip ties instead of useless thread. Luckily, zip ties are easy to buy, so just buy extra supplies and ditch the zip ties.
