Review on Yukon Gear YY F900600 Differential by Charles Russell

Improved Design Fits Fork

I bought this for a 1968 Ford 9" Fairlane. The OEM pinion yoke inexplicably uses small lugs on the outside of the yoke seat to keep the yoke from sloshing out the side of the fork "The most common clamping failure is these tabs breaking. If this happens you will have catastrophic cross and yoke failure. Moroso makes inter-articular straps that perform the same function as this clamp but are made of aluminum. Moroso straps are a huge improvement over the stock cross straps but this fork gearing is even a step up.The cross saddles on this yoke have a lip around the saddle to hold the cross to the side.In my case I use both this yoke and moroso belts .I hope I never have a broken ankle.

Pros
  • Precision Machined Fork
Cons
  • Safety
