But you're left with a pack of grease-soaked paper towels and a very hot plate. This bacon roaster produces crispy bacon (add 1 minute to the recommended time) and all the rendered fat is at the bottom of the container where it can be drained into a jar. Two clips hold the top securely to prevent splattering or splattering in the microwave. Pour some dish soap into the container and let the grate soak while you eat the bacon, then rinse off - easy to clean. The microwave doesn't need to be wiped down, the smoke detector doesn't work, the trash doesn't need to be taken out immediately. Definitely worth the price.
