Great thing! So great I actually went back and bought another! Unlike most others, it's a nice clicking mechanical switch that powers this thing. It's not one of those all-electronic devices that turn off every time you plug something in. Also, unlike most of them, the buttons are on the front, meaning you can stack things on top of them and still have access to the buttons. And those buttons are important too. Are you on 1 and want to upgrade to 4? Press 4. You don't have to "scroll" them like other devices, which by the way can confuse the computers they're connected to when they see a USB device plugged in and then unplugged. This avoids all of that. A plus. just so much fun clicking! Even when it's not plugged in, I still use it as a fidget toy. :) The only thing I can say against that is that it's not USB3, it's just 2, and it still uses the old USB cables you don't see anymore. those with a square, beveled end cap, like those on the back of a printer, labeller, or copier. Again, this is most likely what you will be connecting to your USB2 hub, so being able to use the same AB cables for input and output could certainly be an advantage.
