I have been watching these boots for several years. I have a friend who drove Spartans like this. Decided to try a few. I have to admit that it took me a while to get used to them. I mostly wear mine to the gym but I'm starting to wear them around town too. YES, you will get funny looks, but it really feels like walking barefoot. They are more comfortable than you think. If you have average healthy legs, try a pair. I would not recommend them if you have foot problems such as high arches or bone spurs. I will order another pair once these wear out. Oh, if you're buying a pair, order socks. Revain has many styles and yes they make them for men. Again, they're more comfortable than you might think.
