Great replacement for my friends w11c

upgrade. I first bought it in June 2017. It's now July 2020 and it's still working great. I've spilled it a few times and sometimes I can get it back with the switch, but a couple of times I've done really bad things and had to pull the side of the button to release it. The car is never to blame. I mean it still works great after trying to send too many emails at once and many years later. First review: I received it today and am completely satisfied so far. My w11c buddies kicked the dust off and this is his replacement. These are the ones I've used over the past few years and they seem to be direct competitors so I'll use these as my baseline expectations. The Bad: It's a cross cut, not a micro cut. I mainly shred bills, credit card offers, etc. If I shredded a lot on a daily basis, I wouldn't be as happy with this purchase as I am now. Paper shredders are loud. Can't grind when people are sleeping. I wish it had a container with a door. The CD trap looks like it was made for a different model. It fits well, but it only looks backwards. Good: This is the best value I could find for more than 10 pages. A capacity of 12 pages is a must. My comrades were about the same, and it works very similarly. Both hang a little at the maximum number of pages. It's taken years to finally upset the boys, so I expect the same from this one. Don't blame the manufacturer if you use 10 folded sheets and break them. - that is, 10 x 2 = 20. Just don't try. You can create 6 folded pages or 4 pages with envelope fold (travel fold). The cross-shreds are small enough for my use - understand my opinion that microshredding seems unnecessary. The only real value it seems is that the recycle bin is compressed better, so you don't have to empty it as often. If you don't agree, this isn't for you. This device is small enough to easily fit under my desk and be usable, which is the maximum size I would consider for my desk. Standard plastic grocery bags are ideal for the trash can. Despite the fact that the basket is smaller, it is about 5 times easier to empty. Again, I shred 15-20 mailing envelopes a week, not 500. When you line up your grocery bag, the CD trap fits easily under the side of the bag and doesn't get in the way. Or you can still put it back in your bag if you shred a lot of CDs and cards. It has a window to see how full the cart is, although I can't tell easily as I post bags of groceries. I read that the vacuum cleaner is noisy, I think it's closer to my dishwasher. It's almost half the noise of my friend's shredder, which is very valuable. The molded top handle makes emptying much easier. It's easier to deflate than a handle that flips up and is probably harder to break. I will never have one without a pen again. It has a separate CD slot and I assume it's for credit cards. Haven't used this yet but since they are separate I feel better my shredder is lasting longer. Unknown: reliability. I have no reason to doubt it, but I will update if I use it.
