Review on 🔌 MG Electronics MGT2420 Transformer: Reliable and Approved by Knate Scarpelli

I used this transformer to generate "normal" 24 VAC for my new smart thermostat Ecobee3 Lite. I have just installed a new Peerless water heater and the hydrostat used did not have the usual low voltage connections. It had the standard 2x T-connectors for the thermostat. I ran a new 18-5 wire from the thermostat to the boiler and used 2 for R and W to connect to T and T on the hydrostat. I added a GFCI female connector to the switch to connect this "MG Electronics 24VAC Transformer" to power my C and RC wires. After everything was installed, everything worked like clockwork. The green LED is handy for troubleshooting so I know if the outlet has no power.
