heating system. I built a baffle for each duct and installed it in the basement ceiling above the stove, then attached a fan to one side of the baffle and connected the duct to the back. The other end of the duct connects to a rigid duct leading to the floor register. Once in place I get a good constant flow of warm air into the downstairs living space. As for the noise, I can hear it, but not enough to object. I adjust the speed to balance the airflow and use a smart plug to turn it on and off with Alexa. I wish there was a cruise control that Alexa could control. It's more of a supplemental heat distribution system than my primary heat source for the house. But burning wood in the basement, along with residual heat from the oil boiler and water heater downstairs, affects how much I need to use the stove and heat pump. Plus the smell of burning wood if you like things like me.
