Works well on the well after calibration. can scan hairpins of different widths. The LCD scanner is quiet. it shows the hairpin and the middle. make a beep to ensure a clear signal. Helps with DIY projects that might be difficult without a scanner. worked well for hanging my speaker on the wall. Make sure you calibrate first before each time. Good to have on hand. my son loves to play with it (little helper).
