I have an older Dyson DC-40. The filters were beyond disgusting. Since we're not sure how long we'll be keeping this vacuum cleaner (husband just wants to buy a new one), I didn't want to spend a lot of money replacing filters. They fit the patches perfectly, I turned on the vacuum last night - seems to have helped the vacuuming - seems better now and I haven't noticed any change in the noise. I read in many different reviews that the filters somehow make the vacuum cleaner louder. No, everything is as loud as it was and not louder. SO VALUE YOUR MONEY!
