Review on VIKINGS Vulcan Safety Swedish Platinum by Beth Campbell

I ordered this DE razor as an upgrade to my Viking Chieftain DE razor as the Vulcan was intended to be a heavier version with a longer handle. For the first two days of using Vulcan DE, I got razor cuts in different places every day. On the third day I had a razor burn on my neck. I have been using the DE razor for many years now and have never had such a problem. I give Viking a 5 star rating for the quality of their products and customer support system. I noticed that the leading edge of the Vulcan razor has a different groove design than the Chieftain and am wondering if this might have something to do with the issues I had with the Vulcan. Not sure if this would be a good DE razor for a beginner. I really wanted this razor to work for me as I loved the Chieftain.
