Review on No Drill Front License Plate Mounting Bracket Relocator for 2008-up Dodge Challenger - iJDMTOY by Joel Young

Incomplete construction and too short bolts.

Good. For 40€ I expected a lot more. First, the included bolts weren't long enough to go through the hardware and tow anchor, leaving enough threads for the nut to start biting even before the washers were installed. I had to go to the hardware store and buy screws. Second, no lock washers or nylon locknuts are supplied to ensure they don't loosen over time, leaving me with little confidence that I won't lose my faceplate in the future if the screws were long. enough to work. When I bought the new bolts, I also bought washers for both sides of the bolts (not just one side as included) and some nylon locknuts. You could use some Loctite instead of having it. Once that's done, it makes a rattling noise at highway speeds. So I took it apart and put some 3M foam tape between the plate and the bracket. Use thin material here so you don't deform the plate when tightening the screws. And now that the top of the platter isn't supported, it still makes noise at highway speeds, but not as much as a rattle. this has been done before. To solve this problem I use an aluminum angle bracket and extend a piece vertically from each panel mount on either side and attach it to the top of the panel through the panel top mounting holes. I haven't done it yet, but it should make the platter stiff enough to stop that vibrating noise. It's overpriced due to lack of engineering, lack of attention to detail, and insufficient parts that come with it. Patronize someone else, IMO. These guys don't deserve your money. They don't work as hard for it as you do.
